If you've ever traveled to the Midwest, you know there is just a friendliness that you won't find in many places. A little faster than the south, but when people ask you in a coffee shop, "How are you doing?, they want to slow down for a few seconds to here about your day. And that's exactly how my first conversation went with Carly. It felt like a convo with an old friend. It wasn't difficult for us to make up our minds that we wanted to work with each other for their special day. And a special day it was.

‍‍‍As I walked up,‍ I see little feet scattering about passed her mothers front door. I hear giggles coming from the kitchen, and I can smell a curling iron at work. I smile, because I know this day is going to be an emotional one to remember. As soon as I walk through the door I'm greeted with a hug first, words second. I melt. My heart melts. Carly, Luke, this family... they felt like Home. They felt like my home, Michigan. And this is how one of my most beautiful September wedding days began... with Love.
